110: Header Tutorial
This was a request by [livejournal.com profile] kayable for the header that I use here @ [livejournal.com profile] roses_dream, the originally was made in 2011, so I will do my best remembering how I made it as I have changed the graphic making program since then twice now

Actor Base

1. I took this image of Michael Fassbender
 photo 3_zpsb12cdd20.jpg
2. The using the selection tool, making sure you have it selected on fixed ration, selected the image, when happy with your selction then crop to send up with this

3. Next I added some curves to enhance the colouring,I have smartCurve which is a download for PSE I used it on this when I originally made it as it was made in PSE 4, I now have 11!
My settings are
RGB IN - 122
Out - 133

4. Then after the curves I add one of my own textures

I set it to Soft Light 11% to end up with this

then you merge the layers and get on with the texture base

Texture Base

1. Firstly I made a new file, that was 700*400 with transparent base

2. Then I took this texture

and re-sized it to 700 and placed it on the base

3. Drag the texture to match the flowers on the bottom left hand corner to match , you can have them higher up if you wish

4. Then once it has been moved around, using the magic wand tool, select the middle bit of the frame, with the middle selected, delete it, so the transparent background is visable, like this

5. So that is the texture base made next steep it's combining these two bases together

Combining Bases

1. Firstly I had both bases opened, then dragged the actor base to top of out texture base

2. Then I changed around the layers, so that the texture base is on the top, then the actor base is below that like this:

3. Once the actor base is on the bottom move around a little bit the frame till it sights right

4. Once your happy with the actor base in your texture frame then merge the layers together and save as you would normally do, I use png format as JPEG seems not to work with my image host, what ever format you think is best for them.

Okay that is my Tutorial if you would like anymore tips/tutorials please ask :)
